Heartstrings Bridal was born from my own search for the perfect wedding gown. After visiting countless modern bridal stores, I quickly realized nothing clicked. I couldn’t justify the outrageous price tags for gowns that felt, to me, mediocre in both quality and design.
So, I shifted my focus to vintage. I wanted a dress that would truly reflect the significance of my wedding day—not just another mass-produced piece that hundreds of other brides would wear that season. After some searching, I found a stunning 100% silk gown from an iconic 90's designer. The dress was so gorgeous, I ended up in a bidding war to secure it, but after I had, I couldn’t help but wonder: why weren’t there more vintage bridal boutiques offering such gems?
That question stayed with me, and the idea for Heartstrings began to take shape. I wanted to create an experience—one where a bride could bring her loved ones and enjoy the moment of finding a gown that perfectly matched her unique style. I wanted to offer gowns that didn’t bow to trends but instead celebrated timeless craftsmanship, with each piece telling its own story.
Combining my love of exceptional design with my decade of experience as a sewist, and fabric experimenter, I decided to open a boutique where brides could discover beautiful, high-quality gowns that spoke to their individuality. Heartstrings Bridal is not just about dresses—it’s about crafting an experience that honors both the bride and her journey, creating a truly unforgettable moment in the process.

The name Heartstrings is a tribute to the Invisible Thread Theory, also known as the Red Thread of Fate—a symbol of connection, love, and destiny that appears across many cultures. The invisible, or red, thread embodies the idea that certain people are destined to meet and form unbreakable bonds, regardless of time or distance. It represents the connections that tie us together, linking us through love, fate, and friendship.
For me, this thread is personal. Alongside my fiancé, my parents, my sister, my college roommate, and a vast network of loved ones, we each carry red thread tattoos on our fingers, wrists, and ankles. These tattoos represent a community that will always be bound to one another, no matter the circumstances or time that may pass. It’s a reminder that the bonds we share are unbreakable, even when stretched or frayed by life.
The gowns I source for Heartstrings have their own red threads—stories of love, celebration, and cherished memories. These gowns have been loved and worn by brides before, each one carrying the energy and joy of the people who wore them. Now, they’re bound for the next bride, the next love story—always connected through the invisible thread to the people who have cherished them.
Though the thread may stretch, tangle, or even fray, it never breaks. It’s a bond that endures. I hope you too will become part of this beautiful network—connected to the past, the present, and the future of our community—by visiting us at Heartstrings Bridal.
With all my love,
